Join our friends over at the Sandoval County Historical Society and Museum on Sunday, November 12th, 2023 at 2:00PM for this special event, Viva Flamenco! The Sandoval County Historical Society and Museum will be hosting presentations by Nicolasa Chavez and Luis Campos. Nicolasa Chavez is a fourteenth generation New Mexican, a historian, curator, and author. Currently, she conducts lectures and demonstrations blending her love of history with flamenco, Spanish Music and Dance. Luis Campos has been a part of the New Mexico flamenco scene its earliest beginnings. Currently, Luis is concentrating on composing flameco lyrics relating to his New Mexican roots. He has reconnected with his classical guitar mentor, Cuban Hector Garcia, and together they have performed three concerts of duets.
