Business development guru, celebrity entrepreneur, and popular radio personality Jeffrey Candelaria will discuss and sign his first book, “Toro: The Naked Bull,” which is about the destructive power of unbridled lust for glory, self-aggrandizement, and fortune seeking. The story is set in Spain, in the early 1950’s, when bullfighting was a cultural tradition of almost mythical proportions. For some, matadors are defined for their bravery and defiance of death while bulls (toros) are esteemed for their strength, spirit, ferocity, and courage. The juxtaposition of human courage and skill required to address and defeat a 1600-pound raging bull—against the terror of being impaled to death by a goring—is a metaphor for life in this surprising and dramatic novel. Already making a splash, “Toro” was featured in the May 2023 issue of Albuquerque the Magazine.
