In this two-session workshop, participants will create a ceramic wall sconce. On day one, we will discuss and review examples of wall sconces. Participants will then create their sconce forms using hand-building techniques and experiment with surface texture. Works will be bisque fired between sessions. On day two, participants will paint their forms using underglaze and glaze. Works will be glaze fired and then returned to participants to take home.
Instructors: Shundiin Nakai and Jacquelyn Yepa (of ALMA). The classes are free, and all supplies will be provided.
