- All necessary tools & materials will be supplied – but please bring some gloves, water and sun protection.
- Join us at the Bernalillo Community Museum to learn about and help plant a chokecherry tree in our garden. Bette Allen, permaculture designer and Sandoval County Master Gardener, will be teaching us how to prepare a tree for planting, how to plant the tree and care for the new tree in our harsh desert environment!
We will also conduct a short tour of our community garden. We have just over 2,500 sq. ft. of garden space devoted to herbs, vegetables, medicinal and native plants. The chokecherry will provide much-needed shade in the future, as well as food, habit
