Youth and Family Art Workshop Series: Hecho en Bernalillo
Thanks to a recent MR GRO Award from Representative Derrick J. Lente, the Town of Bernalillo has launched a free, multidisciplinary, cultural arts project for residents called Hecho en Bernalillo. Through this project, the Bernalillo Community Museum will provide local youth, and their families, with the opportunity to engage with other community members while developing tangible skills in various art media.
Hecho en Bernalillo launched in March of 2025 and will focus on contemporary and traditional Nuevomexicano art in various mediums, including painting, mosaics, ceramics, and digital media. Artwork from these workshops will be themed around the upcoming Museum exhibitions, Plants of the Bosque (2025) and Across Cultures (2026), and will be on display throughout both exhibitions. Click on the ‘Art Workshops’ link to learn more about a class or to register.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Mid-Region Council of Governments, Representative Derrick J. Lente, and Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham for their generous support, which allows us to offer these educational and interactive opportunities to community members free of charge.
New workshops will be added throughout the year, so check back and follow us on social media!
