Dr. Martinez is a former First Lieutenant Governor of Ohkay Owingeh, an award-winning film producer (However Wide the Sky with Silver Bullet Productions), and has been a Professor of Pueblo Indian Studies at Northern New Mexico College. Don’t miss this eye-opening presentation on Sandoval County’s Mesa Prieta, the site of one of the largest collections of petroglyphs in New Mexico. Archaeological surveys have estimated that there are between 50,000 and 100,000 petroglyphs on the Mesa, including examples from the Spanish and Archaic periods showing evidence of human habitation dating back 10,000 years ago.
