Join our friends over at the Martha Liebert Public Library for this amazing sponsored event by the Instituto Cervantes of Albuquerque and the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The laureled Spanish musician Tomás Lozano, of Barcelona, shares his song settings of poems by one of Mexico’s greatest 20th-century poets, José Emilio Pacheco. As an introduction to each song, the declaimer, Rima Montoya, reads aloud her English rendition of each poem. A 12-minute documentary about Pacheco’s life and literary work will be shown prior to the recital.
