Kristy’s music is deeply rooted in jazz and improvisation … and morphs from there. Like all the best artists before her, she is stepping ahead with her own style. Drawing from diverse influences like Nina Simone, Mingus, Steely Dan, and Queen, she shapes something entirely unique. Her shows feature her original jazz inflected music mixed with familiar jazz standards — rendered as anything but — and well-loved pop tunes put through her unique stylistic filter.
